An Effect of Cognitive-behavioral Art Therapy using Cyber Counseling for a Female Suffering from Bulimia Nervosa

Abstract
This research is a case study for 28-year old female client suffering from Bulimia Nervosa and amenorrhea. The program was comprised of 12 weekly cognitive-behavioral art therapy sessions using cyber counseling. There were three findings in this study. First, through analyzing client¡¯s daily eating journal, the result can be drawn as follow: her eating pattern became normal, improper compensating action was stopped, a score of sense of self-control was increased, and she re-began menstruation. Second, pre-and post-test of Eating Attitude Test-26(EAT-26) show that the client¡¯s eating attitude made positive changes. Third, pre-and post-test of Testable Assumption Questionnaire-Eating Disorders(TAQ-ED) displayed that the client¡¯s belief stimulating the eating disorder was decreased. Reexamination(after 6month, 12month) of EAT-26 and TAQ-ED demonstrated that symptom was nonrecurrent.
